Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is a paper ticket required for this event?

No, a paper ticket is not necessary!

2. What is the refund policy?

must be submitted through the website using the received notification or by email (education@erca.org) by 3:00pm the Friday previous to the event for a refund. A processing fee will be charged.

3. Is there any food for purchase at the program locations?

For those eating lunch at the conservation areas, please note that there is no food available for purchase. We also ask participants to be mindful of our litter-less lunch policy and deposit any food-related garbage or recycling off-site. Water fountains are available to fill up re-useable water bottles at each site, except Kopegaron Woods.

4. Do I need to accompany my (teenaged) children to this event?

We do require that all children have an adult supervisor on-site and participating in our programs in case of unforeseen incidents (sickness, injury, etc.). If you would like to assign supervision of your children to another adult who will be participating, that would be fine. We simply ask that they be registered with the individual who has accepted this responsibility.

5. What if it rains or snows?

With the exception of dangerously inclement weather, all of our programs run rain, snow or shine. Please come prepared for outdoor activity and dress appropriately for the weather.

6. Can I bring my dog to this event?

While leashed dogs are allowed on ERCA trails, we ask that they do not accompany you during programming times.

7. My friends will also be attending this event. Can we request to be placed in the same group/class?

Due to the number of participants and the nature of our programs, we can not guarantee placement with other registrants, but are happy to take requests and honour them when possible.

8. How can I get more information about ERCA's homeschool programs?

If have questions or require additional information, please contact Jess Rose at education@erca.org or 519-791-6952.
