Essex Region Conservation Authority to Meet

The Essex Region Conservation Authority (ERCA) will hold a special Board of Directors’ meeting at the Essex County Civic and Education Centre on Thursday, March 28 at 6:00 pm to deal with matters surrounding Ontario Regulation 41/24.  

Agenda items include: 

 

  • New Conservation Authorities Act, Regulations, and Interim Policy Guidelines for Development Reviews 

  • Delegation of Powers Related to Permit Issuance, Cancellation and Hearings 

  • Appointment of Provincial Offences Officers under the CA Act and Delegation of Authority under the Trespass to Property Act 

  • Update to ERCA’s Hearing Guidelines

The Essex Region Conservation Authority is a public sector organization established by the Province of Ontario and governed by local municipalities. For more than 50 years, it has organized and delivered programs and services that further the conservation, restoration, development and management of natural resources in watersheds in Ontario.
