About the event

Join Water Rangers, Essex Region Conservation Authority and the Lake Erie Rangers for an evening of planting wetland species in a remote spot in Cedar Creek watershed. Attendees will work together to plant a variety of native wetland and pollinator species to support biodiversity at a newly created wetland. All equipment will be provided, but if you have a favourite pair of gardening gloves, please bring them along. Dress appropriately for your comfort and safety as well as the weather. Closed toed shoes are recommended, hiking boots are preferred, as the ground is hard clay with vegetation. Conditions in October can be variable (very dry/warm to very wet/cold). The event will be held, rain or shine, and only cancelled if there is severe weather, or extremely unfavourable site conditions. Alternative rain date will be held November 13, to be communicated upon cancellation. We extend our sincere gratitude to the Great Lakes…
