About the event
Peche Island Day will take place on August 9 2025. With robust progress towards the Detroit River’s revival, this event provides committed partners with an opportunity to share remediation stories and celebrate successes with the public. Offerings include free boat rides to and from Lakeview Marina/Peche Island, sponsored by the Detroit River Canadian Cleanup. Guests can explore the island on foot, check out some educational displays and activities hosted by partners and attend a few hikes led by City of Windsor staff.
Tours begin each day at 10:00 a.m., and the last ride to the island takes place at 1:15 p.m, with a strict 2:30pm return time. Anyone interested can reserve a spot by calling (519) 255-1161.
