About the event
The Essex Region Conservation Authority is pleased to share an upcoming community stewardship event taking place in Sandwich, Windsor! Funding for this event is provided by the Gordie Howe International Bridge Community Benefits Plan.
This project focuses on increasing the urban tree canopy and biodiversity. In total, there are 50 native trees being planted along the walking trail of College Avenue Bikeway. The trees are large potted hardwoods, and holes will be excavated in advance to help with breaking the ground.
Location, Parking and Public Transportation
College Avenue Bikeway Park is located along College Avenue in Sandwich between Brock Street and Prince Road. Public parking is available at the park and in the surrounding neighbourhood. While there is no physical address, Crowley Park (3698 College Avenue, Windsor) is directly across the street from College Avenue Bikeway.
Public transportation is available via the Crosstown 2, Transway 1C, Central 3, Central 3 west,…
